GP1 belongs on the natural lash before lashing. GB1 belongs on the finished adhesive bond afterward.
Some artists use both in one appointment. Others use only what their prep and adhesive system calls for. Either way, the two bottles aren't interchangeable.
2. How to use lash primer before extensions
Primer goes on after cleansing. It doesn't make up for lashes that still need cleaning.

3.2 Applying GB1 to the bond area

Keep it at the bond area. The GB1 directions don't call for coating the full length of the extensions.
3.3 What GB1 cannot correct
GB1 supports the finish. It can't turn a weak attachment into a sound one. Poor isolation, too little contact, late placement and an unsuitable glue drop all have to be fixed during application.
4. The correct order for primer, adhesive and bonder
When one service uses both products, the order is:
- Clean and prepare the natural lashes.
- Apply GP1 if the preparation system calls for primer.
- Wait for the primed surface to dry.
- Apply the extensions with the selected lash adhesive.
- Finish and inspect the set.
- Apply GB1 to the adhesive bonding points if it is part of the finishing system.
If you're still prepping natural lashes, it's too early for GB1. Once the first extension goes on, the GP1 step is over.
Using both doesn't guarantee how long a set lasts. Room conditions, adhesive handling, attachment, natural lash growth and client aftercare still affect the finished set.
5. What primer and bonder will not fix
When a set starts behaving differently, another liquid can hide the real problem. Go back to the stage where it first showed up.
If the natural lashes aren't clean and dry, go back to cleansing and prep. If the adhesive grabs before placement or stays mobile longer than expected, write down the temperature, humidity and condition of the glue drop. If the base isn't making enough contact, fix the attachment. Don't count on bonder afterward.

6. Keep cleanser, primer, bonder and sealant in their own steps
Lash shampoo cleans the lash area. GP1 is a preparation liquid used after cleansing. GB1 is a finishing liquid for adhesive bonding points after the set. Each one has its own step.
"Sealant" means different things from brand to brand. Before you treat a sealant and a super bonder as the same product, check where the formula is meant to go and whether it's made for professional extensions or DIY clusters.

7. Store GP1 and GB1 by service stage
Both are clear liquids in 0.34 fl oz / 10 ml bottles, so they're easy to mix up at the station. Keep GP1 with your prep products and GB1 with your finishing products. Check the model name before you dispense.
The current product listings give both bottles a shelf life of 12 months unopened and 6 months after opening. Write the opening date on each bottle and follow the storage instructions that come with it. Lash adhesive has its own shelf life. Track it separately.
